wHAT’S THIS ABOUT?

Ribble Valley Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme

If your child is aged 5–16 and receives benefits-related Free School Meals, they may be eligible to access free holiday activities and food through the Fun, Food, Friends – Ribble Valley Health & Wellbeing Partnership Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme.

The programme is funded by the Department for Education and Lancashire County Council and aims to support children and young people during the school holidays by providing:

Fun and engaging activities
Opportunities to be active and social
Healthy meals
A safe and welcoming environment

Activities are delivered by a range of trusted local providers across the Ribble Valley and may include sports, creative activities, games, team challenges and much more. More information can be found on the scheme by clicking here.

If your child is eligible, you can explore the activities available by viewing the HAF Programme booklet below, which contains details of all providers, sessions and booking information.

Haven’t Received Your Unique Booking Code?

Eligible families will receive a unique booking code through their child’s school.

If you have not yet received your code, please:

Contact your child’s school in the first instance, as they are responsible for issuing the codes.
If you are still unable to access your code, please contact the HAF team at: ribblevalleyhaf@roefield.com

We look forward to welcoming children and young people to another fantastic programme of Fun, Food and Friends across the Ribble Valley.

As part of the Ribble Valley Borough Council Crisis & Resillience Funding, we have been giving some funding to put on a range of HAF activities during the October half term.

Whilst this is not normal timings of the standard HAF programme, many of our providers have opted to offer spaces.

The criteria remains the same – those in receipt of targeted free school meals and SEND children. Due to the nature of the funding, if you are a familiy that may be in need, you can also access spaces.

Please note: as this is a different pot of funding, voucher codes have not been sent to parents and the booking portal is not being used. Bookings are direct with the providers.
